With another successful Annual Meeting behind us, it is now time to focus our attention on developing the 2020 Annual Meeting, taking place March 15–19, 2020, in Anaheim, California. You are invited to submit proposals for 2020 Symposia, Workshops, Roundtables, Continuing Education courses, and other special sessions through May 15, 2019. To access the submission site and for tips on preparing proposals, visit the 2020 SOT Proposal Site.

In addition, the Scientific Program Committee held a webinar to discuss the best practices for developing and submitting a proposal. A recording of this webinar and a copy of the slides are available on the “Preparing Proposals” page of the 2020 Proposal Site. If you plan to submit a proposal for consideration, please continue collaborating with your Specialty Section, your Special Interest Group, or the appropriate SOT Committee. Their input is important for a variety of reasons, including that they review, score, and rank the submissions before they are forwarded to the Scientific Program Committee for final evaluation. Strong endorsement is helpful!

Both 90-minute and 165-minute Symposium and Workshop Sessions will be programmed for the 2020 Annual Meeting, alongside 80-minute Education-Career Development, Historical Highlights, Informational, Regional Interest, and Roundtable Sessions. As always, 240-minute Continuing Education courses—and a shorter sunrise course or two—will be available on the meeting’s opening day.

We are looking forward to developing an exciting program from the proposals submitted for consideration for the 2020 Annual Meeting.
