The Society of Toxicology Regional Chapters hold Annual Meetings each year to provide a scientific forum for their members and the greater scientific community in their locale. Below are a number of upcoming Regional Chapter events that may be of interest to you. Mountain West:
The 32nd Annual Meeting of the Mountain West Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (MWSOT) will be held Thursday and Friday, September 4–5, 2014 at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tuscon, Arizona. There will be a Pre-Meeting Reception on Wednesday, September 3 at the Cascade Terrace, located at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort as well. More information can be found on the MWSOT website.
Pacific Northwest:
The Pacific Northwest Regional Chapter (PANWAT) of the Society of Toxicology Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday, September 18–19, 2014 at Seattle Genetics, Inc. in Bothell, Washington. The meeting focus is "Predictive Toxicology." Thursday evening will include speed mentoring with Past Presidents and experts, followed on Friday by Speaker presentations, poster sessions, and a social reception. Ohio Valley:
The Ohio Valley Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (OVSOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. This year’s meeting will feature a keynote lecture by Vishal Vaidya entitled, “Translational Toxicology in the Twenty-First Century” as well as student and postdoc platform and poster presentations, Lunch with an Expert, and exciting information about our K–12 activities. North Carolina:
The North Carolina Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (NCSOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Main Campus in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This year’s meetings will cover Hot Topics in Toxicology: Fracking, Coal Fly Ash, E Cigarettes. More information can be found on the NCSOT website.
Central States:
The Central States Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (CSSOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 16–17, 2014 in Kansas City, Missouri. More information can be found on the CSSOT website as it becomes available.
Mid-Atlantic:
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (MASOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey. The theme for this year is: “Exploring the Human Microbiome: Roles in Disease and Toxicology.” More information can be found on the MASOT website as it becomes available.
Southern California:
The Southern California (SoCal) Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Pfizer in La Jolla, California. More information can be found on the SoCal website as it becomes available.
Northern California:
The Northern California (NorCal) Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Genetech in San Francisco, California. More information can be found on the NorCal website as it becomes available.
South Central:
The South Central Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (SCCSOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 23–24, 2014 at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. A mixer and keynote speaker will be held from 5:30 pm–8:00 pm on Thursday evening followed by platform and poster presentations on Friday. Southeastern:
The Southeastern Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (SESOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 23–24, 2014 at the Richard.B. Russell Agricultural Research Center (US Department of Agriculture) in Athens, Georgia. Platform and poster presentations will be presented in two half day formats (1:00 pm–5:00 pm, Thursday, October 23; and 8:30 pm–12:00 pm, Friday, October 24). Michigan:
The Michigan Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (MISOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. More information can be found on the MISOT website as it becomes available.
Lone Star:
The Lone Star Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (LSSOT) Fall 2014 Meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 13–14, 2014 at the University of Texas Austin in Austin, Texas. The event will include several meals, a keynote address, platform and poster sessions, a vendor show, and an awards ceremony. This year’s meeting also will feature a workshop on “alternatives in toxicology careers” aimed toward graduate students and postdocs. More information can be found on the LSSOT website.
