SOT congratulates new members and those members who have upgraded their membership from September 2018 through May 2019!
Since September, 164 members have upgraded their SOT membership, and 503 new members have joined the Society, comprising 133 Full members, 72 Associate members, 65 Postdoctoral members, and 233 Graduate Student members. New members become part of the worldwide SOT network of more than 8,100 members from 76 different countries. Members from academic institutions, industry, government, and other scientific organizations are committed to the Society’s vision of “creating a safer and healthier world by advancing the science and increasing the impact of toxicology.” You can view the full listing of new and upgrading members through May 2019 on the SOT website. On the list, an asterisk (*) indicates a member who has upgraded their membership to a new level.
A special thank you to all the Full members who sponsored new Full and Associate members, as well as to the research advisors and mentors who have sponsored new Graduate Student and Postdoctoral members. Your support of these new members continues to build and sustain a strong and vibrant society. Thank you also to the SOT Membership Committee for your diligent review of membership applications.
New members through March 2019 reflect those who were approved for membership as a result of applications completed and submitted by September 30, 2018; December 31, 2018; and March 31, 2019.
Is it time to upgrade your membership? Let your membership level reflect your professional experience in the field of toxicology, and take advantage of additional member benefits. Do you know someone who is due for an upgrade? Encourage them to submit their application by June 30 to be included in the next review cycle. Nominations letters are now waived for current Associate members seeking Full membership status. I strongly encourage our Associate members to upgrade their membership today!
