The three new SOT Component Groups—the Out Toxicologists and Allies Special Interest Group, Arab Toxicologists Association Special Interest Group, and Sustainable Chemicals through Contemporary Toxicology Specialty Section—each will host their inaugural Annual Meeting event during the upcoming SOT 59th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in Anaheim, California. Annual Meeting attendees are encouraged to attend these events to learn more about the missions of and membership in the new Component Groups.
The vision of the Out Toxicologists and Allies Special Interest Group is to support the inclusion, promotion, retention, and professional development of the LGBT+ community in the field of toxicology. The Out Toxicologists and Allies Special Interest Group Inaugural Reception will take place on Sunday, March 15, from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at McCormick & Schmick’s Grille. This reception is open to any interested attendee.
Additionally, the Arab Toxicologists Association Special Interest Group has a mission to establish a Special Interest Group of toxicologists from the Arab world with a major goal to effectively communicate toxicological ideas and support its members to succeed and achieve excellence in toxicology in the United States and worldwide. The Arab Toxicologists Association Special Interest Group Meeting/Reception will take place on Tuesday, March 17, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Anaheim Marriott Grand Ballroom GH. This event also is open to all.
Finally, the new SOT Specialty Section, the Sustainable Chemicals through Contemporary Toxicology Specialty Section, will host a meeting/luncheon during the Annual Meeting. This event will take place on Monday, March 16, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in Room 208A of the Anaheim Convention Center. This event is open to current and prospective members.
In addition to these events, the long-standing SOT Component Groups also will host meetings, events, and receptions throughout the Annual Meeting, and attendees are encouraged to join in these events to network and collaborate with colleagues.
