The Distinguished Toxicology Scholar Award is one of the highest honors the Society presents. This award is presented to a member who has made substantial and seminal scientific contributions to the understanding of toxicology. The prime consideration for this award is scientific accomplishments. The recipient will be invited to deliver the Distinguished Toxicology Scholar Award lecture at the 2019 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.
If you know a deserving colleague or other scientist, please nominate them by visiting the Awards Section of the SOT website. Nominations should be made for members who have made significant and influential contributions to, or made strides advancing, our understanding of the science of toxicology. Nominees should be active scientists currently involved in toxicological research. Nomination deadline for this award is October 9, 2018!

As with the majority of SOT Awards, nominations for the Distinguished Toxicology Scholar Award should include the nominee’s CV and both a primary and seconding letter of nomination from Full members of the Society. These letters should describe in layman’s terms an analysis of how the significant contributions to toxicology by the nominee apply to the criteria of the award.
Please note: The Awards Committee will only review the two letters required to complete the nomination; no additional letters will be taken into consideration.
