If your abstract was accepted for presentation during the 2020 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, opportunities and guidelines are available to you regarding the science you were planning to share.

First, remember that abstracts accepted for the 2020 meeting are published in The Toxicologist or The Toxicologist: Late-Breaking Supplement and cannot be republished. If you wish to submit this work to another scientific society meeting, the identical abstract should not be submitted.

I also would like to thank all the authors who have uploaded an ePoster to enhance the Virtual Meeting aspect of the 2020 Annual Meeting. SOT has received over 625 ePosters of research originally scheduled for presentation during the 2020 meeting. These ePosters are available to users through May 31, 2020, and can be accessed via the 2020 ePoster Index PDFOnline Planner, and SOT Event App, as well as the online version of the app. Uploading your ePoster is optional but highly encouraged.

If you have not uploaded an ePoster, you still have an opportunity to do so. All presenting authors of a poster abstract that was accepted for the 2020 Annual Meeting have been sent an email with instructions for uploading an ePoster. If you did not receive this message or have any questions about this process, please contact SOT Headquarters.

Thank You to the SOT Community and Leadership

The last two months have been extraordinary on a personal and professional level for everyone.

The same can be said for the Society as we made the unprecedented decision to cancel our Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. In this time of uncertainty, though, the SOT leadership and community responded in an overwhelming way, and just as the SOT Past Presidents did in an editorial in the May 2020 issue of Toxicological Sciences, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to those working on behalf of SOT.

First, in 2019 and 2020, nearly 1,000 members volunteered their time, energy, and expertise to participate in SOT Committees and Task Forces; lead the Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and Specialty Sections; and guide ToxSci by being part of its leadership team, an Associate Editor, Editorial Board member, and/or peer reviewer. On behalf of SOT Council, thank you to these individuals and to the SOT staff members who support these activities and individuals.

Thank you to SOT President Ron Hines. It has been a pleasure to work alongside you as you ushered the Society through difficult decisions and days. Similarly, thank you to my fellow Council members for your dedication and support.

Finally, thank you to the Scientific Program Committee, Continuing Education Committee, and session Chairs and Co-Chairs for your work in assembling a stellar scientific program, and for your help and willingness to adapt our Scientific Sessions into virtual offerings. The 2020 SOT Virtual Meeting is continuing through June, and I invite everyone to participate in these webinars to share in the latest research in toxicology. For the full meeting schedule and registration details, visit the “Virtual Meeting Program” web page of the 2020 Annual Meeting website. Thank you to the Virtual Meeting Supporters for enabling this programming.
