In response to a membership-expressed desire to include more timely research in our Annual Meeting, SOT will be offering at least one Hot Topic session during the 2020 Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California.
The Hot Topic session(s) will be programmed as a 90-minute session(s) on Tuesday afternoon. Proposal topics should focus on toxicology-related issues that either have arisen since the deadline for regular session proposals (May 15, 2019) or have peaked in interest to the scientific community and/or public.
For the 2020 Annual Meeting, Hot Topic proposals are due by Friday, January 10, 2020.
As with other 90-minute sessions, proposals should include the names and affiliations of the session Chair and two or three presenters (no more than three presenters), an abstract describing the overall session, and abstracts for each presentation topic.
Presenters who are SOT members will not be eligible for travel support; up to two nonmembers will be eligible for support. Proposals should be submitted as an MS Word document (using the Oasis-provided Proposal Site is not required) and will be evaluated by the Scientific Program Committee in January. Proposals should be emailed to SOT Headquarters. The Hot Topic session offers an opportunity for presentation and discussion of the timeliest toxicology-related science at the SOT Annual Meeting.
If you have any questions on the Hot Topic proposal process, please email SOT Headquarters.
