We are pleased to present the 2017–18 Endowment Fund Annual Report demonstrating the Endowment Fund’s continued growth over the last fiscal year, the important ways students and other colleagues have benefited from your contributions, and the ways the Endowment Fund is used to create lasting impact for and by SOT.

The results from this study are a direct result of collaborative efforts from researchers in industry, government, and academia. . . . Attendance at the SOT Annual Meeting will be an invaluable experience as it will help me share my research with leaders in the field of Toxicology.”

Growth has occurred in both the SOT Mission Funds administered by Council and the Named Funds administered largely by various Component Groups within the Society. During fiscal year 2017–18, the Endowment Fund Board approved two new funds, the Bruce A. Fowler Global Chemicals Toxicity Fund and the Rising Star Annual Fund. These additions brought the total of Named Funds in the endowment to 44. We reached another milestone, with the total number of awards given from the endowment exceeding 100 for the first time!

As this report and the more detailed information on the website demonstrate, your contributions are sustaining the growth of the Endowment Fund, and the proceeds of the fund are achieving goals that are meaningful to you. Please continue to contribute and to recruit others to join the fellowship by giving along with you. The Endowment Fund is making a difference and supporting toxicology and our future leaders by advancing the strategic mission areas of SOT.

On behalf of the Endowment Fund Board, thank you for your contributions!

Robert A. Roth, PhD, DABT
Chair, SOT Endowment Fund Board
