Next-Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) marks a move away from traditional animal testing toward more human-relevant, mechanism-based methods. The latest OpenSystems Pharmacology (OSP) Suite Version 12 supports this shift with a modular, open-source framework for building and qualifying physiologically based kinetic (PBK) and quantitative systems toxicology (QST) models. These models enable flexible, data-driven safety assessments using human-relevant endpoints like liver toxicity or thyroid disruption. The integrated ecosystem allows for scalable modeling, supports interoperability, and promotes transparency—enhancing scientific relevance and regulatory confidence in NGRA.
