A RASS Risk Assessment Syllabus Webinar
Registration is required for this free webinar
Hosted by the SOT Risk Assessment Specialty Section
This will be the seventh webinar in the Risk Assessment Syllabus series, which began in 2021. This webinar will bring together many of the concepts covered in prior topics to show how new approach methodologies (NAMs) can transform the Human Health Risk Assessment (covered on June 9, 2021) to advance more predictive, efficient, and human-relevant risk evaluations. Dr. Gavin Maxwell will present the next-generation risk assessment framework, its emergence as an industry best practice, and its potential applications in regulatory settings. Additional perspectives will be provided by three panelists who will cover Regulatory Perspective on Applying NAMs at the US EPA by Anna Lowit (US EPA); NAMs and Underlying Molecular Mechanisms by Ivan Rusyn (Texas A&M University); and NAMs and Applications at NIH/NIEHS by Nicole Kleinstreuer (NIH). As usual in this series, a Q&A discussion will follow the presentations, which will be led by our moderator, Dr. Laurie Haws (ToxStrategies).
