Toxicological Sciences publisher, Oxford University Press (OUP), is rolling out some improvements to its journal content alerts on the Oxford Academic platform. These updates are designed to make it easier to sign up for, manage, and receive alerts for your favorite journals, such as ToxSci, helping you stay up-to-date with the latest research and journal activity.

No Action Needed for Current Subscribers

If you're already signed up for new issue alerts (previously called eTOCs), youre all set! The only change is that these alerts will now be labeled “new journal issue alerts.

Simplified and More Customizable Alerts

OUP is consolidating several alert types (advanced article alerts, in-progress issue alerts, and subject alerts) into a new, more flexible category called “new journal articles alerts.Youll be able to choose how often you receive updates: daily, weekly, twice monthly, or monthly.

New Journal Article Activity Alerts

Want to stay informed about what’s happening with journal articles? You can now select three types of journal article activity alerts:

  • Citations (track how articles are being cited)

  • Corrections & Updates (includes corrections, addenda, retractions, and expressions of concern)

  • Comments (if enabled for the journal)

You can select any of these alerts and customize the frequency just like with the new journal article alerts.

All your alert preferences can still be managed right from your account, just like before, only now with a more streamlined experience.

Stay in the Loop!

We encourage all members and editorial board members to sign up for these journal alerts to take advantage of the new features. These updates will help you stay connected with the latest research appearing in ToxSci.
