Announcements Regarding SOT Membership Renewal for 2026

By Cynthia Rider posted 10-16-2025 01:57 PM

As 2025 winds down, it’s time to start thinking about renewing your SOT membership for 2026. As part of our community, you gain access to valuable resources, meaningful connections, and exciting opportunities, and we’d love the chance to continue supporting you. You will receive an email with information on how to renew your membership within the next week.

As you renew your membership, you will notice a slight increase ($10) in your dues membership for 2026. This increase allows SOT to continue to provide all the benefits and services that make our community such a thriving, supportive environment for toxicologists at all career levels.

Another unrelated change that you’ll notice for 2026 is that an electronic subscription to Toxicological Sciences is now included for every membership category based on a new contract with our publisher, Oxford University Press. We hope all members take advantage of this access to exclusive, groundbreaking research.

As a reminder, the Society grants dues waivers for two types of circumstances: temporary employment interruption and financial hardship.

  • Dues Waiver for Temporary Employment Interruption
A Full or Associate SOT member in good standing whose employment is temporarily interrupted may apply for a waiver of dues for a one-year period. A dues waiver may be renewed for an additional year upon reapplication.

  • Dues Waiver for Financial Hardship
A Full or Associate SOT member in good standing whose circumstances have resulted in a significant financial hardship may receive one dues waiver for hardship reasons over their SOT membership lifetime. The cause of such financial hardship can be any significant circumstance beyond or in addition to unemployment. Hardship dues waivers are granted for a one-year period.

If either of these situations apply to you, please send a description of your circumstances to SOT Headquarters to request a dues waiver.
