SOT proudly invites nominations for the new SOT Science Policy Leadership Award, honoring an elected government official who demonstrates outstanding support for science that protects and advances the health and safety of people, animals, and the environment. 

This prestigious award celebrates public leaders at the local, state, national, or international level who have shown exceptional commitment to scientific progress and evidence-based decision-making. 

Who Can Be Nominated 

Nominees must be elected officials who meet one or more of the following criteria:

SOT members should submit a nomination letter using SOT Apply that describes how the nominee has supported scientific research or policies focused on protecting health and the environment. Nomination letters are due October 26.
