Attention SOT Members: Get Ready for the 2026 BTS Annual Congress!

The British Toxicology Society (BTS) invites all SOT members to attend the 2026 BTS Annual Congress, being held April 27–29, 2026, in Solihull, United Kingdom. Solihull is midway between Birmingham (one of the UK’s major cities and transport hubs) and Stratford-upon-Avon (the birthplace and hometown of William Shakespeare).

This year’s Congress will feature a range of sessions and activities that will provide opportunities to advance knowledge, foster collaborations and explore emerging trends in toxicology.

Congress Highlights

The 2026 Congress will feature a Continuing Education program on the theme of Communication in ToxicologyTranslating Science for Society. The Congress’s program also includes plenary and award lectures, poster and oral communications with student and postdoc prizes, a toxicology-themed quiz networking session, and a gala dinner followed by live entertainment. The following Scientific Sessions will also run:

  • AI in Action: Bridging Theory and Practice

  • Transgenerational Toxicological Effects in Humans

  • New Science-Based Approaches for Hazard Characterization and Classification

  • Safety of Advanced Therapeutic Modalities

  • Omics Technologies Taking Risk Assessment into the 21st Century

  • Towards Practical Application of Next Generation Risk Assessment for Assuring Environmental Safety

  • Safety Aspects of Drug and Device Development for the Treatment of Diabetes

In an exciting new partnership, the BTS and the UK branch of the Society for Environmental and Chemical Toxicology (SETAC) are hosting a joint workshop on Science Shaping RegulationTowards Adoption of Animal-Free, Exposure-Driven Approaches in UK Chemical Regulation to take place immediately after the BTS Annual Congress on the afternoon of April 29, 2026.

  • Abstract submission: Submit by January 30, 2026, to present your exciting work at the Congress. 

  • Early-Bird registration: Register by March 27, 2026, to take advantage of discounted pricing.
