SOT Looking for Tiny Tox Talks Suggestions for Presentation in Nashville

By Dori Germolec posted 07-28-2022 16:10

After a successful debut during the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting, the SOT Tiny Tox Talks transitioned to a face-to-face format for the 2022 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in San Diego with equal success—reviews were positive, and many talks had standing room–only crowds!

Now, the Scientific Program Committee (SPC) needs your help to determine talk topics and presenters for 2023. Several Tiny Tox Talk topic suggestions were gathered from the 2022 Tiny Tox Talks presenter survey and in other ways, including:

The Tiny Tox Theater during the
2022 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo
  • Interviewing skills
  • How to identify and develop skills that translate to career success
  • Getting the most out of your mentor-mentee relationship
  • Elements of a clear presentation
  • Professional development
  • Effective models related to diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence

The SPC would love to add to the consideration list, so SOT members are invited to apply to present a Tiny Tox Talk for the 2023 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. To apply, please complete the online 2023 Tiny Tox Talk Proposals Form by September 13. Notifications of acceptances for 2023 Tiny Tox Talks will be made by September 30.

As a reminder, Tiny Tox Talks are short presentations (no longer than 20 minutes, including Q&A) by SOT members in the semi-enclosed Tiny Tox Theater located in the ToxExpo Exhibit Hall. The theater seats approximately 30 people, and the presentations can be informal and interactive, if desired. The theater is equipped with a large monitor, laptop, and microphone, as well as a whiteboard and/or flip chart.

The SPC looks forward to your contributions to this dynamic Annual Meeting experience!
