This October, hundreds of product stewardship professionals will converge in Boston, Massachusetts, for a comprehensive leadership forum for strategies that drive safer and more sustainable products.
PSX 2023, being held at the Westin Boston Seaport District October 17–19, offers a unique chance for product stewardship professionals to discuss best practices, challenges, and opportunities on everything from how to align with corporate sustainability objectives to understanding the nuances of hazards versus risk in consumer product applications.
Since PSX debuted in 2014 as “The Product Stewardship Conference,” it has evolved from a small group of like-minded professionals to a premier event attracting product stewardship practitioners throughout the value chain across multiple product uses and industries.
| “The toxicologist has a key role in effective product stewardship because today we see tougher-then-ever obligations to ensure the safety and sustainability of products placed on the market. PSX provides a valuable learning opportunity that brings together multiple industries, organizations, disciplines, and perspectives on a wide range of emerging topics.” —Kevin Kransler, PhD, DABT, CPPS, Environmental Resources Management, Syracuse, NY |
In this ever-changing global economy, relevant education on existing and emerging topics in product stewardship is needed more than ever. Pre-conference workshops also are available for those who want to dig deeper into strengthening their programs. For those new to the practice or managers who want to quickly get their team up to speed, an “Introduction to Product Stewardship” full-day workshop will be held on Monday, October 16. Attendees also can expect career-centric bonus content that will help map out their growth opportunities and articulate the value of their work.
Bookending the conference this year will be the opening keynote by Heather Henriksen, Harvard University Chief Sustainability Officer, and the closing keynote by Kathy Varol, former head of global purchase strategy for adidas and expert in purpose strategy, CSR, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Attendees will be inspired by their leadership in developing innovative solutions to real-world sustainability challenges and learn how to craft a thoughtful ESG strategy.
PSX also is worth attending for the networking opportunities. The Exchange exhibit hall has long been the networking center of the event, offering attendees the chance to collaborate with fellow professionals and industry partners. In Boston, we’re celebrating a larger footprint with new and returning partners ready to showcase their most innovative products and services.
