By Dori Germolec posted 02-01-2024 16:15

I look forward to seeing you in Salt Lake City where science and camaraderie will be abundant. Whether it is during the day in the Salt Palace Convention Center, after hours exploring the vibrant restaurant and brewery scene, or post-meeting hiking or skiing, it is sure to be another SOT meeting to remember, and I wanted to take a moment to provide some updates and reminders.

Today Is the Housing Reservation Deadline!

Book a hotel through the SOT housing partner, Connections Housing, for convenience and ease of mind. Booking through Connections Housing also helps reduce SOT expenses and provides you with the benefit of free housing assistance before or during the meeting.

Fun Facts about Salt Lake City

Did you know that…

  • While Utah often ranks as the state with the lowest consumption of alcohol, downtown Salt Lake City (where the SOT meeting is being held) is bustling with breweries, bars, and restaurants that serve an assortment of cocktails, beers, and wines throughout the day seven days per week?
  • Salt Lake City boasts of concert venues that seat anywhere from 20 to 20,000 people?
  • Four world-class ski resorts are within 45 minutes of Salt Lake City?
  • Utah is home to five national parks (Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion), 45 state parks, five national historic sites and trails, and a dozen national monuments and recreation areas?

You can acquire a free discount passport for savings to shops, restaurants, and breweries, as well as purchase an attractions pass, ski pass, and brewery pass from Visit Salt Lake.
