It’s time to show off your research—applications are now open for the 2026 Best Postdoctoral Publication Award! We’re excited to spotlight the outstanding work of SOT Postdocs like you!

This award honors high-impact research in toxicology published by postdoctoral researchers. If you’ve been the lead author on a paper that resulted from your postdoc work and youre proud of what it contributes to the field, we want to hear from you.

Three awardees will be recognized during the Postdoctoral Assembly Luncheon at the 2026 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in San Diego, California, on March 24, 2026. Awardees receive a $250 cash prize and a commemorative plaque—plus well-earned recognition from the SOT community!

How to Apply: Complete the online award application form.

Deadline to Apply: October 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM (US EDT, UTC -4)

Award Eligibility Criteria

  • Research Timing: The submitted work must be based on research conducted during a mentored postdoctoral position (you don’t need to currently be in that position to apply).

  • SOT Membership: You must be a current SOT member or have submitted a membership application by the deadline.

  • Publication Window: You must be the first author of a peer-reviewed paper that was published (online or in print) or in press between September 30, 2024, and September 30, 2025. Co–first authorship is accepted if your contributions are clearly described.

  • Review Articles: Only reviews that include meta-analyses or decision analyses will be considered.

  • One Paper Only: Each applicant may submit just one paper for consideration.

  • Advisor Nomination Required: Your advisor will need to complete a brief nomination form confirming your role in the research and commenting on the significance of your work. You’ll be able to send them the nomination link directly from the application platform.
