Perhaps you are thinking about a career transition or looking for strategies to upgrade your skills. Enrolling in SOT Mentor Match will provide access to a wealth of SOT members who are willing to share workplace and life-balance expertise. Conversely, you may want to serve the toxicology community by sharing your knowledge in a mentoring relationship. A person can be both a mentor and a mentee. Mentor Match is a user-driven online searchable database that facilitates the establishment of such mentoring relationships.  

The first step is to update your ToXchange profile. The Mentor Match website includes guidelines, expectations for mentors and mentees, and FAQs that further clarify the program.  

If you have enrolled previously, it may be time to update your profile, check into the site, verify that your preferences are still accurate, and look for a new match.  

Those attending the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in Orlando can take the mentoring relationship out of the virtual space and set up a meeting. New this year, SOT is providing a quiet space where mentors and mentees can meet in Orlando. The Mentorship Lounge is in Room W109B in the Convention Center and will be open 7:00 am–4:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Come check it out.
