If you are an SOT Student member, the SOT Awards Committee can help fund your trip to Nashville, Tennessee, for the 2023 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, March 19–23, 2023. Graduate Student Travel Support is available for graduate students who meet these criteria:
- Membership in SOT or a pending application for membership submitted by the September 30 application deadline
- PhD candidacy in toxicology at the time of the meeting, aka March 2023
- An accepted abstract for presentation during the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo
To fulfill the last requirement, graduate students must submit their abstracts and award applications by October 9, 2022. While the overall abstract deadline is December 1, individuals applying for awards will have their abstracts reviewed early so that award recipients can be notified and make travel plans. If you do not submit an abstract by October 9, you will not be eligible for Graduate Student Travel Support.
Application Review Process
Recipients are selected at random, with priority given to students most senior in graduate school; individuals who have previously received this funding are not eligible to receive the award again. The SOT Awards Committee determines funding amounts for this award each year.
Full instructions on applying for Graduate Student Travel Support are available on the award web page.
