The Society has learned that 50-year member and SOT Past President Robert A. Scala, PhD, DABT, ATS, passed away on October 3, 2024. Dr. Scala contributed immensely to the field of toxicology and received the SOT Merit Award in 1995 in honor of his accomplishments.
Members are encouraged to read Dr. Scala’s obituary.
This blog serves as an announcement of the member’s passing. Family, friends, and colleagues are welcome to develop a more detailed tribute for publication by SOT, and as is standard with the passing of an SOT Past President, a tribute will be developed for publication in Toxicological Sciences.
