Each month, SOT provides an update on activities and events of importance to the toxicology community through the release of the “Around the World of Toxicology” blog. Please note that only activities by societies and professional associations (i.e., nonprofits) will be considered. Japanese Society of Toxicology (JSOT)
The JSOT 53rd Annual Meeting will take place July 1–3, 2026, at the Osaka International Convention Center in Japan. Abstract submissions for the meeting are now open, with a deadline of March 4, 2026. Registration also is open with a deadline of May 15, 2026.

National Academy of Sciences
Applications for the Gulf Research Program’s Science Policy Fellowship are due February 26, 2026. The fellowship helps scientists gain first-hand experience applying science to policy as they spend a year on the staff of federal, state, local, or nongovernmental agencies in the Gulf region.
