
Through the Translational Impact Award, SOT recognizes outstanding scientists whose translational research or practice has enhanced human health. This award emphasizes the meaningful influence that cutting-edge research can have on understanding toxicity and improving human well-being.
Translational Impact Award
The Translational Impact Award celebrates recent and exceptional clinical, environmental health, or translational research that has significantly improved human or public health within the field of toxicology. It honors scientists whose work in the last 10 years, particularly those leading multidisciplinary teams, has alleviated toxicity-related health issues through innovative solutions.

Award recipients receive a prestigious plaque during the SOT Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony, a cash stipend, and an exclusive invitation to deliver the Translational Impact Award Lecture during the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo.
Making a Nomination
The nomination deadline for the SOT Awards is October 9. Nomination packages should include letters of recommendation that provide a clear and compelling overview of the nominee’s impact, along with a CV focused on their most significant accomplishments related to the award. The CV must be limited to 10 pages, as Awards Committee members are only required to review the first 10 pages of any submission.

Preference will be given to nominees who have not received one of the following SOT Awards in the past two years: Achievement, Arnold J. Lehman, Distinguished Toxicology Scholar, Education, Enhancement of Animal Welfare, Founders, Leading Edge in Basic Science, Merit, Public Communications, Toxicologist Mentoring, Translational Impact, and Undergraduate Educator Awards.
