The SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in San Diego is nearly a month behind us: another memorable event! Now, we turn our attention to the 2027 Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, taking place March 1417, 2027, in San Antonio, Texas. The Proposal Submission Site is open until May 15, and it’s your chance to contribute to the meeting with your Scientific Session or Continuing Education course ideas.

Important Resources

As you prepare your submission, be sure to review the 2027 Annual Meeting website for all the details on preparing and submitting your proposal. There are significant changes to the scientific program for 2027. All sessions will be 75 minutes in duration, and the session types have been revised to Scientific (combining the session types formerly known as Symposium, Workshop, and Roundtable); Continuing Education; Informational; Historical Highlights; Regional Interest; Engagement; and Education-Career Advancement.

I highly encourage you to watch the recording of the Developing Competitive Scientific Session Proposals webinar from April 6. It’s only about 45 minutes long but contains detailed information about the changes to be implemented with the 2027 Annual Meeting, along with valuable insights that can make the difference between a good proposal and a great one.

Submission Deadline

Mark your calendars—the deadline for proposals is Friday, May 15, at 11:59 pm (US EDT, UTC -4). Do not wait until the last minute to get your proposal in! And remember, all speakers must be available to attend and present in-person next year in San Antonio.

Get Started Now!

The SOT Scientific Program Committee and Continuing Education Committee are eager to see your innovative ideas and groundbreaking proposals. Start planning your submission today to make the 2027 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo another successful event!
