Abstract submissions are now open for the SOT 66th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, taking place March 1417, 2027, in San Antonio, Texas.

Researchers are invited to submit their work for consideration for a Poster or Platform Session. Presenting at the meeting provides an opportunity to share findings, receive feedback, and engage with more than 4,000 attendees. Accepted abstracts will be published in the SOT Event App and the SOT online abstract database.

Preparing Your Abstract

The SOT Scientific Program Committee reviews each abstract for four required elements:

  • Background and Purpose: Describe why the work was undertaken and clearly state its overall purpose or objective.

  • Methods: Explain how the research or assessment was conducted.

  • Results: Present the study’s data or clearly summarize its findings. Do not include figures, tables, or chemical structures, and avoid nonstandard acronyms.

  • Conclusions: Explain the impact or significance of the findings and their relevance to toxicology.

The complete abstract must be 4,000 characters or fewer, excluding spaces. The title, author block, and required section headings count toward this limit.

Important Submission Details

  • Submission period: August 17November 13, 2026

  • Submission fee: $70 per abstract

  • Undergraduate discount: Undergraduate students may contact SOT Headquarters for a promotional code to save $10 on a regular abstract submission.

  • Membership and sponsorship: SOT membership or sponsorship by a Full or Associate SOT member is required. If an SOT member is unavailable, an approved sponsoring organization may be used if at least one author belongs to that organization.

  • Acceptance notifications: Decisions and scheduling information will be sent in early January 2027.

Review the complete submission requirements and submit your abstract by November 13, 2026.

Your research can spark new conversations, inspire collaboration, and help move toxicology forward. We encourage you to share your work with the SOT community and look forward to seeing you, and your science, in San Antonio!
