Positions for Early Career Researchers on the FASEB Board of Directors and Science Policy Committee

By Suzanne Fitzpatrick posted 03-24-2022 14:20

Early career scientists make up a significant portion of the biological and biomedical sciences community. The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) reserves up to three voting positions on its Board of Directors and Science Policy Committee (SPC) for early career scientists, to better represent the unique insights and opinions of this critical group at the highest levels of FASEB leadership and to foster dialogue between current and future generations of biological and biomedical researchers.

FASEB is seeking applications from early career researchers to serve on the Board of Directors or SPC. Members serve one two-year term, beginning July 1 of the year appointed and ending June 30 of the second year in service.

The deadline to apply for this opportunity is April 11, 2022, and those interested should submit their application through the FASEB website. Any questions should be directed to FASEB via email.

Full details on the board representative position are available here, and full details on the SPC representative position are available here.

SOT is a FASEB Member Society, which for SOT members fulfills the requirement of both roles that the candidate be a member in good standing of at least one Member Society of FASEB.
