What Is #YouTox?
The SOT Annual Meeting is more than posters and Scientific Sessions. As thousands of minds come together from all walks of life in toxicology, #YouTox highlights the real people that make SOT the rich community it is.
#YouTox aims to facilitate communication between SOT members. Let’s talk about what makes SOT great . . . YOU! #YouTox brings together the faces and interests of all of us on the #YouTox Photo Gallery and on social media platforms, allowing us to discover the faces behind the scenes.

#YouTox is a continuous event throughout the Annual Meeting. There are plenty of opportunities to engage with the Graduate Student Leadership Committee and share your #YouTox story.
Meet #YouTox Ambassadors
The Communications Subcommittee will have #YouTox ambassadors at the following events:
- Student/Postdoctoral Scholar Mixer
- Mentoring Breakfast
- Tox ShowDown
- Past Presidents’ 5K Fun Run/Walk
- In Vitro Toxicology Lecture and Luncheon for Students
- Career Exploration through Speed Informational Interviews
- ToxExpo Exhibit Hall
You can identify #YouTox ambassadors by their props and colorful neckwear.
Take Photos with #YouTox
This year, you can have your picture taken by a #YouTox ambassador, take the picture yourself, or take pictures using the online 2022 #YouTox Photo Booth. The #YouTox Photo Booth contains digital stickers and fun frames and allows you to share your photo to the 2022 #YouTox Photo Gallery.
#YouTox Hashtag on Social Media
You have documented so many great moments! Do you want to share your photos on social media? Use the #YouTox hashtag when sharing; SOT will share them, too! If you are using the 2022 #YouTox Photo Booth, your photo will automatically be sent to your email. You also have the option to share your photo to the 2022 #YouTox Photo Gallery, share your photo on social media, or download the photo to your device.
If you want, share a bit about yourself in the comment. For example:
- What’s your favorite part of the meeting?
- What do you enjoy about being a toxicologist?
- What drew you to this session?
- Do you want to share some interesting events outside of the SOT meeting while in San Diego?

Student/Postdoc Mixer on Sunday
Students and postdocs are welcome to join the Student/Postdoctoral Scholar Mixer on Sunday, March 27, starting at 7:30 pm in CC Ballroom 20D. Come and meet other students and postdocs! Mark this event on your Online Planner or SOT Event App, and make sure to register in advance.
