The Society of Toxicology (SOT) has learned of the passing of SOT Charter Member Bernard R. Davidow in August 2014. He was a member of the 1965–1966 Nominating Committee. SOT Charter Members are those individuals who joined the Society in its first year. March 4, 1962, was established as the deadline for Charter Membership, being one year from the founding of the Society. Thus, upon the first meeting of the Society in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on April 12, 1962, the Society consisted of 184 Charter Members.
