Correction—NGO Outreach Webinar: US EPA Hydraulic Fracturing Proposed Rulemaking

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would like to correct its announcement on US EPA’s Hydraulic Fracturing Chemicals and Mixtures Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR). The Non-Governmental Organization outreach webinar will be held at 12:00 pm Eastern Time on September 3 as opposed to 2:00 pm on the same day. To register, please use this corrected US EPA website. The US EPA has announced that it also will be contacting registrants directly to update them of this change so that they can re-register with the corrected link(s) as appropriate.

The US EPA Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) is holding a Non-Governmental Organization outreach webinar on the Hydraulic Fracturing Chemicals and Mixtures ANPR, 79 FR 28664 (May 19, 2014). This webinar will provide an overview of the ANPR and how to submit public comments to the docket.

The webinar is sceduled for September 3, 2014, at 2:00 12:00 pm noon Eastern Time. Please register on the US EPA website for the webinar. Upon registering for the webinar, you will receive the webinar web address for use during the event.

In addition, please visit US EPA’s Hydraulic Fracturing Website (and click on the link for “Promoting Transparency and Conducting Outreach”) for more information on the ANPR. You are also welcome to submit your comments to the docket, identified by docket identification number EPA-HQ-OPPT-2011-1019, by one of the following methods by September 18, 2014:

•Federal eRulemaking Portal: Regulations.gov. Follow the online instructions for submitting comments.

•Mail: Document Control Office (7407M), Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT), Environmental Protection Agency, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20460-0001.

• Hand Delivery: To make special arrangements for hand delivery or delivery of boxed information, please follow the instructions on the US EPA Docket Center website.
