For those members seeking information on clinical and public health issues related to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19, the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT), along with several partners, is offering information and resources in its webinar series “Medical and Public Health Considerations of COVID-19.” Taking place on Wednesdays at 3:00 pm (ET), the events feature experts on the front lines of the pandemic who “present on emerging issues related to COVID-19, provide updates on what they are facing in their clinics and hospitals, and participate in a Q and A.”

According to the webinar series web page, “the goal of these web-based communications is to provide timely, critical and science-practice-based information to those who are part of the global response to this pandemic and caring for COVID-19 patients.” The series launched on March 25 with an event exploring the topic “Use and Potential Adverse Effects of Chloroquine & Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19,” and several additional sessions have taken place since then, most recently on Wednesday, April 15.

Recordings of the webinars are freely available on the “COVID-19 Web Series” web page, along with more information on the series. The “ACMT Response to COVID-19” web page offers further resources related to the pandemic.
