These scientists came from as far away as Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Europe, Israel, Japan, Mongolia, Nigeria, South Korea, and from every corner of the United States.

“We have gathered to share research, exchange ideas, and form collaborations to advance toxicology’s impact on health. Thank you for joining SOT in Baltimore," says SOT 2016‒2017 President John B. Morris.

The SOT Annual Meeting featured 58 Scientific Sessions, 2,355 abstracts, 13 Continuing Education courses drawing more than 1,900 attendees, and three Plenary Sessions. The featured plenaries addressed Data Science, Precision Medicine, and The Exposome: Challenges and Opportunities, which are now available for viewing online.

The program provided many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to engage in peer-to-peer and mentoring activities, including the Undergraduate Diversity Program, Graduate Student-Postdoctoral Mixer, and Chat with an Expert.

These exhibitors included 80 international companies from 20 countries and US companies from states extending from coast to coast and border to border. In addition, 67 Exhibitor-Hosted Sessions were held. Visitors to ToxExpo also viewed posters displayed by 34 societies in the SOT Global Gallery. The goal of SOT and of all these societies is to increase the reliance of international decision-makers on the science of toxicology to advance human health and disease prevention.

The Society is grateful for the generous contributions of the 45 diverse organizations that provided support for this stellar meeting.

Thanks to All Who Attended and Supported the 56th Annual SOT Meeting

We Look Forward to Seeing You March 11‒15, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas
