Mark your calendars! The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold the second ToxCast Data Summit September 29–30, 2014 in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The US EPA encourages anyone with ideas on how to use this ToxCast data to submit an abstract by August 1, 2014. The goal of this event is to bring together the user community to present their ideas for ways to use the massive amounts of new ToxCast data on chemicals and to begin the dialogue about how to implement these ideas to help inform chemical policy and regulatory decisions. There will be platform presentations and poster sessions. It is not necessary to have any published work with the data in order to submit an abstract. The US EPA released the ToxCast chemical data publicly in December 2013 for anyone to access and use through user-friendly web applications called interactive Chemical Safety for Sustainability (iCSS) Dashboards. All of the raw data files can also be downloaded and analyzed. To register and/or for more information, please visit the summit website.
