As you begin your preparations for the 59th Annual Meeting in Anaheim, the Scientific Program Committee (SPC) is already planning for the 60th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, to be held in Orlando, Florida, in 2021! The SPC will host the annual webinar designed to illuminate the process by which proposals for Scientific Sessions are reviewed as well as the criteria for evaluation. The SPC values the input received from the membership—in particular the SOT Specialty Sections, Special Interest Groups, and Committees and task forces—with respect to the Annual Meeting program. Therefore, please mark your calendar for Friday, February 14, 2020, to participate in the “Developing Competitive Scientific Session Proposals: The Importance of Endorsers” webinar from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (ET).
In this webinar, the SPC will provide an overview of the submission process for Annual Meeting Scientific Sessions and Continuing Education courses and will offer insights into the proposal review and decision process. This webinar also will emphasize the special role of the endorser in the process, what the endorsers should consider in proposals, and how endorsements factor in to the decision process. Finally, the SPC will answer some of the frequently asked questions related to proposal submission. The goal of this webinar is to provide participants with helpful tips that will aid them in preparing top-quality, competitive proposals.
