Dr. Guengerich is the Stanford Moore professor of biochemistry, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee. He is the author or co-author of over 620 peer-reviewed scientific articles and a researcher in toxicology working on cytochromes P450, DNA damage and carcinogenesis, and drug metabolism. Dr. Guengerich’s research has led to a range of awards and honors, including the Society of Toxicology Achievement Award. At Vanderbilt University, he has served as a thesis advisor for 18 graduate students. Significantly, he has served as mentor to 125 postdoctoral trainees. The establishment of the F.
