In this, we possess the ability to shape the future of the science and practice of toxicology, the central challenge identified in our most recent strategic plan. We are guided by principles such as serving the needs of our discipline and members to make contributions to improving human, animal, and environmental health. Our greatest strength lies in our membership, as does our future. I believe we must focus on continuously growing and evolving the discipline through recruitment, training, and mentoring of students and early career scientists.” Dr. Burns Naas joined SOT in 1996.
