As Editor-in-Chief Gary W. Miller notes in this issue, the SOT Annual Meeting is just days away.
“Beware the Ides of March.”This ominous warning to Caesar foretold his eventual demise at the hands of Brutus. Fortunately for the field of toxicology, the Ides of March coincides with a positive time of year. The annual meeting of the Society of Toxicology will be held in New Orleans during the week that spans the Ides. Rather than worrying about nefarious plots in the Senate or looking over one's shoulders to thwart backstabbing, we get to focus on invigorating scientific discussions with thousands of our peers. Thus, look upon the Ides of March with the same excitement and enthusiasm as you do when you look inside ToxSci for the best original research in the field of toxicology.
You are encouraged to visit the SOT Pavilion (Booth 500) to meet with Dr. Miller and ToxSci Managing Editor Virginia Hawkins, who look forward to hearing from you about the Society's journal. From Monday, March 14 to Wednesday, March 16, Dr. Miller will be at the SOT Pavilion from 10:00 am–11:00 am and 2:00 pm–3:00 pm and Ms. Hawkins will be available from 9:15 am–4:30 pm.
The mission of ToxSci, the official journal of the Society of Toxicology, is to publish the most influential research in the field of toxicology.
