During these unusual times, with health and safety concerns necessitating new daily routines and forgoing activities outside the home for many SOT members, we recognize that our members may be struggling to stay connected to each other, to friends and family, and to the scientific community. While we cannot ease these burdens entirely, the Society does have resources available to help make some of these connections.

ToXchange Component Group, Graduate Student, and Postdoc Communities

toxchange.pngBy selecting My Communities from the Communities tab after logging in to the ToXchange website, you will see all the SOT communities (Committees, Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, Specialty Sections, etc.) to which you belong. Once you select a specific community, you will find messages and other resources for that community.

SOT Membership Directory

The SOT Membership Directory is available 24-7 on ToXchange. Search by name, company/organization, location, and more to find the contact information for any SOT member.

SOT Full and Associate members have free access to the electronic version of Toxicological Sciences, while Postdoc and Student members can request discounted subscriptions to the Society’s journal.

2020 SOT Virtual Meeting

As we’ve announced elsewhere, through June, SOT is presenting Scientific Sessions and Continuing Education courses originally planned for the canceled in-person Annual Meeting as live webinars. Virtual Meeting Oval.pngIn general, free live webinars of Scientific Sessions are occurring on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm (ET), while fee-based Continuing Education courses are being held on Fridays between 12:00 noon and 3:30 pm (ET). The schedule of upcoming webinars is available on the “Virtual Meeting Program” web page.

CEd-Tox: Continuing Education Courses Online

Recordings of the live webinars from the 2020 SOT Virtual Meeting will be added to the catalog in the coming months. Postdoc and Student members have free access to the entire CEd-Tox catalog, as do individuals from developing countries.

Recorded Plenary Lectures, Sessions, Webinars, CCT Webinars, and FDA Colloquia

SOT has a wealth of recorded lectures, Scientific Sessions, and webinars available on its website:

Research Funding Blog

Updated weekly, this blog highlights grant and funding opportunities, as well as tips for securing funds for your research.

SOT leadership would like to thank all the SOT volunteers who are continuing to work on the programs and initiatives that provide value to our members. The Society is and will continue to be an important way to come together to advance our professional activities and interests. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
