Bio

Dr. Gina Hilton is a toxicologist and science adviser to PETA Science Consortium International e.V. She received her M.S. in chemistry from Wake Forest University in 2013 and her Ph.D. in the toxicology program at North Carolina State University in 2017. She then joined the Science Consortium, where she advises on the development and implementation of new approach and non-animal testing for regulatory chemical risk assessment. Dr. Hilton serves in positions of leadership for multinational workgroups to facilitate fit-for-purpose use of new approaches to improve risk management. She has published award-winning posters and manuscripts – some of which have been directly cited in EPA regulatory policy. Dr. Hilton also plays an active role in science communication and early career outreach by providing guest lectures and career counseling to undergraduate and graduate students on a volunteer basis.
