The International Union of Toxicology, of which SOT is a member society, is participating in the eighth International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, taking place October 25–31, 2020.
This “week of action” led by the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint is centered on “[accelerating] progress towards the global phase out of lead paint through regulatory and legal measures,” according to the “International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2020” web page of the World Health Organization (WHO) website. To this end, the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint provides resources for “Governments, civil society organizations, health partners, industry and others” to use in campaigns to phase out lead paint.
