Tips for Communicating with and for LGBTQI+ Communities

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) released a blog on June 30, 2022, that defines and explains words and phrases associated with the LGBT+ community. This blog is intended to provide researchers with information and background to properly construct their research using terms and expressions that are meaningful and specific to the LGBT+ community.

 

Communicating about Tribal Health Research

On July 20, 2022, the Director of the NIH Tribal Health Research Office published a blog detailing the history and composition of Tribal Nations in the United States. The article also contains a list of communication tips when conducting research with or about the Tribal Nations.

 

NIH DEIA Listening Sessions

The NIH leadership is hosting seven diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) listening sessions over the next few months. Each session is focused on a specific population and is open to NIH employees:
