By James Luyendyk posted 04-20-2023 16:06

The International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX) has two activities in May that may be of interest to SOT members: a webinar and a session proposal deadline.

IUTOXtalks Webinar on May 24

Registration is now open for the next IUTOXtalks webinar. It will feature Mathieu Vinken, PhD, PharmD, ERT, Vrije Universiteit, speaking about “Adverse Outcome Pathways as the Basis for In Vitro Prediction of Chemical-Induced Liver Toxicity.” The webinar will take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 8:00 am (US EDT, UTC -4).

To register for this event, you must use the IUTOX community website. If you do not already have an IUTOX community account, SOT members can register on the site as a “toxicologist.” Anyone interested in the content of these webinars who is not an SOT member (or member of another IUTOX member society) may register on the community website as a “guest” of IUTOX.

CTDCXII Proposals Due May 31

The Sociedad de Toxicologia de Chile and IUTOX invite SOT members to submit proposals for a scientific session, symposium, workshop, keynote, or other activity for to the 12th Congress of Toxicology in Developing Countries (CTDCXII) that is being held in Santiago, Chile, April 15–18, 2024.

CTDC meetings are held every three years and provide a forum for discussing toxicological issues facing developing countries.

The deadline to submit a CTDCXII session proposal is May 31, 2023. More details about submitting proposals are available on the CTDCXII website.

SOT is sharing this news as a member society of IUTOX.
