Attention to Those Interested in Science Communication: We Need You to Report on the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo!

By James Luyendyk posted 01-18-2024 03:19 PM

Are any of the following statements true for you?

  • I plan to attend the 2024 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • I enjoy writing.
  • I have a desire to share scientific insights with the larger SOT community.

If you answered “Yes” to any of these, consider volunteering as an SOT Reporter for the Society’s 63rd Annual Meeting and ToxExpo.

The SOT Reporter program provides an opportunity for SOT members to write about the sessions, events, and activities that they participate in during the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. Also, this program offers the volunteer Reporters extensive exposure within the SOT community!

As an SOT Reporter, your role is straightforward: attend a meeting activity of your choice and then craft a blog about your experience and the scientific takeaways. On the Monday following the meeting, send your write-ups to SOT staff for sharing on the SOT blog and in the SOT Weekly Update email.

If you’re interested in being an SOT Reporter for the 2024 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo or would like more information, reach out to SOT Headquarters to express your interest. You can also explore reports from previous years to get a sense of the contributions made by SOT Reporters for past meetings.
