We’re sure many of you want that momentum to keep going. The good news is that getting involved with SOT doesn’t mean you have to do everything all at once. You don’t need to join five Committees by Friday or spend your entire day on ToXchange.

Submit a Session Proposal
Have an idea for a session that would benefit the SOT community? Submit a session proposal for 2027 SOT. If there was a topic you wished had been covered at the Annual Meeting, or one you think deserves more attention, this could be your chance to help shape future programming. Session proposals are due May 15, 2026.
Sign Up for Mentor Match
Whether you are looking for guidance or ready to offer it, Mentor Match is a great way to connect. It’s a simple but meaningful way to build relationships within SOT, and it can be especially valuable if you are exploring a new career stage, looking for advice, or hoping to give back.
Get Involved with a Component Group
Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and Specialty Sections are a great way to make SOT feel a little smaller in the best possible way. They help you connect with others who share your interests, and they often open the door to volunteer and leadership opportunities. Learn more here.

Sometimes the simplest way to get involved is also the most effective. SOT offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, whether it’s helping with programs, supporting the Annual Meeting, or getting involved in SOT activities.
