The 2012 SOT Education Award was presented to John H. Duffus, The Director of Heriot Watt University’s Edinburgh Centre for Toxicology, Edinburgh, Scotland. Since 1989, he has spent a distinguished career educating toxicologists. In presenting the award to Dr. Duffus, SOT Councilor Dori Germolec noted that “He has been responsible directly in the classroom, or indirectly through his many works, for broadening the intellectual horizons of many hundreds of toxicologists and nurturing those in training.
