ToxSci Impact Factor Rises to 4.1

New journal impact factors were recently released, and we are pleased to announce that Toxicological Sciences ’s ranking has increased to 4.1 from 3.4 a year ago. This increase in impact factor now ranks ToxSci as the 23rd most impactful journal in its category.     While impact factor is not the only measure of a journal’s success, it does help acknowledge the tremendous work of the ToxSci team to ensure that the journal is publishing impactful research in the field of toxicology. In Memoriam: Narendra D. Lalwani

The Society has learned that longtime member Narendra Dhanraj Lalwani , PhD, MBA, passed away on October 11 , 2024. Dr. Lalwani was a pharmaceutical executive with experience at Pfizer, Cerenis Therapeutics, and Esperion Therapeutics .   Members are encouraged to read Dr. Lalwani’s obituary .   This blog serves as an announcement of the member’s passing. Anyone who has ever attended an SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo can attest, “The meeting is large.” How large?    Hotel rooms or other lodging for more than 5,000 attendees for the better part of a week   Convention Center space for eight or nine large session rooms alongside smaller spaces for Committee and other meetings   A hall big enough to host 300+ exhibitors   A convention-style hotel nearby to host dozens of receptions and social events   This size and scope mean that SOT is sometimes limited in where and when it can host its meeting, and because of this, the ...

The SOT Education and Experiential Opportunities Committee encourages outstanding doctoral students to pursue an internship in toxicology that advances their professional and scientific development.
