Give Your Scientific Session Proposal a Boost: Get Endorser Feedback Before You Submit!

Planning to submit a Scientific Session or Continuing Education (CE) course proposal for the 2026 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo? Great! It is time to seek out an endorsementor even better, make your proposal stand out with a few.

Endorsements from SOT Component Groups help show that your session is relevant, engaging, and valuable to the SOT community. These can come from Specialty Sections and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) or select SOT Committees. Remember, proposals must include at least one Endorser, but you can list up to three.

Here’s how it works:

  • Pick the group that best aligns with your proposal as the Primary Endorser.
  • You can list two others as Secondary and Tertiary Endorsers—those two spots are interchangeable.

  • Got a science-heavy session? Make sure your Primary Endorser is a Specialty Section. SIGs and Committees can serve as Primary Endorsers for Education-Career Development Sessions.

Want to make your proposal even stronger? Many Endorsers offer a pre-review—basically, they’ll give you feedback before the official deadline so you can fine-tune your submission. It’s a great way to polish your proposal and boost your chances of getting selected. Just keep in mind:

  • The Scientific Program Committee (SPC) doesn’t handle pre-reviews—those are all managed by the Endorsers themselves.

  • Each Endorser sets their own deadlines and process for pre-reviews, so don’t wait! Reach out to your chosen group(s) to find out what they need and when.

Some groups have already posted their pre-review deadlines, so be sure to check out the list in this blog and get your draft in soon.

The final, formal submission deadline to the SPC is May 15, but with early feedback, you’ll be in a much stronger position. So don’t be shy—get those endorsements and make your proposal shine!
