Tiny Tox Talks Coming to San Antonio

SOT will be continuing the extremely popular Tiny Tox Talks program in San Antonio . Members are now invited to submit their Tiny Tox Talk proposals for 2027 ! As a reminder, Tiny Tox Talks are mini presentations, lasting no more than 20 minutes including Q&A, delivered by SOT members in the semi-enclosed , 50-seat Tiny Tox Theater in the ToxExpo Exhibit Hall . Toxicological Sciences Impact Factor Rises to 5.2

Toxicological Sciences continues to demonstrate its influence in the field of toxicology, with the journal’s 2025 Impact Factor increasing to 5.2 . This marks the second consecutive year of growth for ToxSci , following a Journal Impact Factor of 4.1 in 2024 and 3.4 in 2023. The latest increase reflects the continued strength, relevance, and reach of the research published in the journal. In Memoriam: Alan M. Goldberg

SOT has learned that Emeritus member Alan M. Goldberg, PhD, passed away on June 9, 2026. Dr. Goldberg founded the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) and was recently inducted into the CAAT 3Rs Hall of Honors. Dr. Goldberg also was the recipient of the SOT Enhancement of Animal Welfare Award in 2001. For additional information, please see the CAAT tribute to Dr. Goldberg .
